I wanted to share some of the awesome zbrush creature work done by me and the team at Pixomondo, Dan Katcher and YeYoung Jung.

I worked on most of the dinos in some way but these pics are the ones I did the most work on. Spending most of my time detailing and texture painting. Most of the rough ins were started by Dan. Not the sail fish though he was happy to give that to me to design build and paint.

It been awesome learning how to sculpt dinosaurs from Dan. Ive been a fan of his work for years unknowingly buying up all the spawn toys he sculpted.

I did the texturing and surfacing for the krona character in Green Lantern. As well as a few other organics. This image is when he is consumed by evil and morphs. The other is of the gentle species that Krona is spawned from.

Saboteur Pantheon design

I really enjoyed working on the Pantheon monument level. It was inspired by Joe Myers. I got great inspirational concept art from Jason Hazolroth and Brian Norton. I was responsible for modeling, texturing, lighting, layout, and worldbuilding. I also designed the exterior and interior mission pathing. I was then help out by Rob Davis and Jason Miller with design refinements and scripting. Additional world building and lighting by Lee Souder and Erik Jakobson.

Vincent Price Bust for Michael Jackson's "This Is It!" concert

Vincent Price was to reprise his role in "Thriller" in the big concert. The concert was cancelled of course but it was to end up on the dvd. I sculpted and textured his bust which was rigged and animated by the talent at I.E.Effects.

Heads for the class!

I showed the kiddies how to sculpt character heads using a quick and easy method for a middle school fund raiser the last couple years. These are some examples of the 20 min heads. My wife having never sculpted before followed my simple 8 step process and created the heads in the forground.

There was never suposed to be cows in Sab, but with Joe Myers encouragement I used the object animation system and snuck them in without effecting the game buget. I also rigged and animated them. I added chickens later as well. I love the suprise when people run into them with cars.

This was made in an hour with soft sculpy. Then I baked it. I then applied the gray firm sculpy. I let it cure for a few weeks. When I came back to it I used dental tools to carve it. The next step is to finish the ears, bake it again and do the final refinements. I was quite pleased when I photographed this head and the camera went into face detection mode.

I started this sculpt with no planing or armature. My bad, but the swiftness of the workflow made it worth it. Its not ment to last forever. The sculpt is a characture of my wife. Theres some more details to be put in, fingers cloth and jewlery.

Its been a while since I got a chance to sculpt. Heres my latest. Ill go on to paint it now. I learned alot about what not to do with armatures. Next time for this type sculpt its going to have to be bigger. The scale made it impossible to detail the face and body of the rider.

This was a Collins college colaborative project. I did the background and and two the forground characters. The characters were cell painted and background designed and painted in watercolor.
